Joining Lakeville Rotary Club
Rotary International is the world’s largest service and leadership development organization, with some 1.4 million members in 33,000 clubs in more than 200 countries worldwide. That is a remarkable statistic, given this organization's global reach and service-oriented nature.
Rotary is a locally based organization where members come from and represent various businesses and professions in their communities. As a community, service-minded business or professional person, you will see that belonging to Rotary, where outstanding representatives of the different vocations in your community come together, has countless benefits and affords opportunities to develop new connections and friendships with like-minded business and professional women and men. Lakeville Rotary Club is a very vibrant and fun 90 + member club with a wide range of successful businesses and professionals of every age. We are business owners, consultants, accountants, lawyers, ministers, non-profit executives, retailers, and more. We live and work in Lakeville and the surrounding South Metro area. Still, we come together every Thursday morning at Brackett's Crossing Country Club for fellowship, great programs, food, and fun. We hear interesting community and national speakers learn more about each other and our world.
To be invited to join, you must:
- Be willing to commit to regular meeting attendance and some service participation in our club’s “Avenues of Service” — Club Service, Community Service, International Service, New Generations, or Vocational Service; and
- Desire to provide service to others and participate.
Rotary clubs provide:
- Fellowship, networking, and friendships with other recognized business and professional leaders in your community, region, and the world;
- Opportunities to further develop your leadership skills;
- Promotion of high ethical standards; and
- An opportunity to “give back” to your community — locally and worldwide.
We invite and encourage you to visit our club (breakfasts are free for your first three visits) to discover what we are all about!
