Ken Mosier introduced today’s speaker Erik Therwanger, Author, Speaker, Coach, with Think Great.
Erik is the founder of Think GREAT and author of the Think GREAT Collection. Erik spoke about his 3 pillars of business greatness: Leading, Planning, Selling. He also shared that his biggest role is being a husband and caregiver to his wife, Gina, who was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and how he was his caregiver through four bouts of cancer and cardiac arrest.
He talked to us about the difference between “Managers” and “Leaders” and how we should be developing leaders within our organizations. Erik challenged us to set more goals and “Be the leader your team needs.”
Join fellow Lakeville Rotarians and community members on Tuesday, August 6 for the Lakeville Citywide Blood Drive.
Last year we collected 100 units of blood and our goal this year is 150 units. To make this year more enticing to potential donors, we are having a drawing for special prizes.
Sponsors have donated the following prizes: pairs of tickets to the Minnesota Twins, the Vikings, the Wild, the Chanhassen Dinner Theatre, Lakeville North and South family season athletic tickets, Alibi Drinkery gift cards, a B-52 Burgers and Brew gift card, a Yeti Cooler, a Ninja Coffee Maker, and a Minnesota Wild Jersey.
The donors sites are: Fire Station #4 on 185th and the Heritage Center on Holyoke.
If you would rather enroll by phone call Mike at 952-500-0862 and he will get you signed up.
The current blood supply is seriously low due to the hard winter and the cancelling of appointments and blood drives. We need your help. First time donors are especially welcome. It is not unusual for some people to assume they can't donate due to some type of health issue or international travel. That assumption may no longer be true as the restrictions continue to change. You can check on the web site or call to find out.
If you would like to help with the blood drive please go to:
