Ann Messerschmidt - Environmental Resources Specialist, City of Lakeville.
Ann has been working with the City for 17 years conducting wetland and construction site reviews, planning events like the city’s largest volunteer event (Watershed Cleanup Day), ensuring the City is meeting Stormwater Pollution Prevention requirements of the state, as well as managing native vegetation at past environmental improvement projects, monitoring water quality at all Lakeville Lakes, and managing pretty much any outside thing you can think of. Ann is the main person who is making sure the Valley Lake Pollinator garden is functioning at tip-top shape and is here today to provide an update.

Rotarian Cody Rodewald , Align Chiropractic Lakeville, was our speaker today. He gave us one word to keep in the back of our mind during this time, " Adaptation".
Watch today's meeting to hear more from Dr. Rodewald on his biggest keys to Health & Wellness during COVID-19.
The goal is to connect those in need with things they may need and connect those that have things to give with this group. Masks, hand sanitizer, and food are the focus. We are trying to build a hub that connects all of the needs for those who live or work in or around Lakeville. Having those connections in one place may make it easier and faster for all of us to provide service to those in need.
Our focus for the week is;
Homemade Mask Drive: We are working on collecting homemade masks for those in need. Many in Lakeville are sewing masks but do not have the material needed to make more. We are also running a donation drive to collect material from those who cannot sew and give it to those who can.
As we collect masks, a great goal would be to provide one to anyone in our city who needs one.
Food Shelf/Food Pantry Services: We are working on connecting those in need of food shelf services with the food. Many people in need of food shelf services have never experienced this need.
Senior/compromised immune systems persons: making sure those in the community with compromised immune systems and our seniors have what they need.
Spreading the word: Our goal is to NOT replace any other groups effort, only connect them with the community to avoid duplication of effort and to get people what they need. Please pass along this information to any group that may have product or services to donate or may have a group of volunteers that can be called on to assist with needs like bagging groceries. Have them send an e-mail to information@lakevillecares.org
We will be asking groups to help us get the word out about our mask donation project.
Paul Marzahn Need help getting masks for Seniors at Senior High Rises. Most vulnerable among us. I can get masks but may need help with distribution. Could help save lives.
