MAY 2015 ROTARY STUDENTS OF THE MONTH
 
Each month of the school year, the Lakeville Rotary Club recognizes students of the senior class who demonstrate “Service Above Self”. 
 
For the month of May Lakeville South High School has chosen Madelyn Seemann. Madelyn is a Senior at Lakeville South. She is captain of the dance team, Lacrosse Manager, and in our top 5% academics. She is involved in National Honor's Society, Cougars Leading Cougars, Student Council, Links Club, Superfans, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Choreography Team, and Spirit Committee, among others. She has been involved in over 30 volunteer projects and has received numerous academic awards. Madelyn is a 2 year Cougar Award recipient, as well as Rookie of the Year, All State, All Tournament, and All Conference Honorable Mention.
Madelyn’s parents are Brian and Jacquelyn Seemann.  Her dean is Rachel Ruzzi.
 
For the month of May Jack Mettlach has been chosen for the Rotary Student of the Month from Lakeville North High School. Jack has been chosen due to his high GPA and high class rank at Lakeville North.  Jack is also very involved in school activities as a member of the basketball team, Marching Band and Choir and National Honor Society.  He is on the Speech Team, and on Student Council.   Outside of school, Jack is an usher at his church.  He works as a cashier and sales floor person.  He also volunteers at Fairview Ridges Hospital since 9th grade.
 
Jack has said that he “enjoys getting involved”.  He “wants to experience the most out of life as he can which is why he tries his hardest in everything”.  Jack’s parents are Paul & Amy Mettlach and his Dean is Cary Zahn.
