Club Assembly notes from August 19 Board Meeting
Vocational Service – STRIVE – Tony Steel , tsteel@rwbaird.com, is seeking mentors to help with the 2015-16 STRIVE program. The program starts in September with a breakfast meeting and ends on April 21 at our Club STRIVE meeting.
Taste of Lakeville – Greg Lamere/Mark Priore– Taste Advisory Board meeting will be held today after our club meeting.
Lakeville Foundation – Jay Young –
- A grant for $250 was awarded to Jonathan Reuvers, a Boy Scout, for assistance with his Eagle Scout project. The project is to make fleece blankets for elderly in centennial House nursing home.
- A grant for $1000 was awarded to the Northern Star Boy Scouts of America to help provide scholarships for boy scouts that cannot afford the full cost of camp.
Community Service – Nancy Savstrom
- Save the date – Ring the Bell will be on Friday, December 4th at both Cub Foods locations and Fleet Farm in Lakeville.
- Fall Roadside Clean up – Watch for the fall cleanup date announcement from Dan Ringstad and Rich Henderson, Committee chairs.
Programs – Craig Manson – Working on January – June 2016 program calendar.
Vocational Service – Mark Booth – Volunteers needed for the 2015 Ethics Workshop being held on October 20, 2015 at Crossroads Church. Contact Mark, markbooth@financialguide.com, for more information.
Rotary Youth Exchange – Joel Theisen, Youth Exchange applicants are being sought for the 2016-17 Rotary year.
Treasurer – Alan Williams, please pay your Rotary Bill. Kathy will be sending out reminder emails to members who have outstanding dues/meals payments due.
